New Amaryllis

BF's sister brought another amaryllis from Germany. Wonder what colour is this. It seems to have 3 blooming stems. I have clue what the colour is.

My french beans are growing pretty ok.

Some peppermints that I got from the supermarket. Three survived and grew roots, I cleared the lemongrass and planted the mint here. I also have no clue what variety is this. It's my first time trying this mint.

Also cleared the hopeless florence fennel for raap rapini.

What's Going on at My Balcony

I'm very pleased to inform that my hydrangea is very happy at where she is and with what I've been feeding her - Yates Bio Gold Fish Emulsion. However I'm starting to use Miracle Gro Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food as I couldn't find Yates anymore. Hope it works.

Planted more shallots for the greens as I always fail growing the scallions whilst I'm attempting for another round with scallions. *FIGHTING!*

Trimmed my desert rose to promote branching and also because it didn't look too well (overwatering?), seeing new healthy shoots makes me happy.

The lemongrass went wild and messy again so I chopped it, this time I also pulled the dead cut leaves from the previous chop. It started to grow within an hour after the cut.

Happy National Day

This is only blooming plumeria I have right now. The color has turned lighter than the mother plant. I suppose it doesn't have as much sun exposure.

My edibles. I included shallots (middle) this time, found some shallots that sprouted shoots in the kitchen. Probably won't last.

Another new addition for edibles is ginger. I also have Portulaca (pointy-leaf) and Purslane (round-leaf) that I picked from my building's lobby.

My inedible lemongrass/citronella has grown after a drastic prune early this month.

Went to the nursery to exchange the size of the pot plates I bought 2 weeks ago. Came back with a cutting and he gave me another cutting that's rotted during rooting. Why not.

Such a gorgeous cutting. It's a yellow variety with an amazing citrus-y scent.

The free cutting I received. Such a lovely inflo of red bloom. I hope this thrives.

The blooms of the cuttings.

Penang Peach bloom that I collected while walking with Coco this morning.

Blessed

Today was a very lucky day for me. I managed to get hold of the dwarf red plumeria and pale pink/yellow plumeria rooted cuttings from the nursery I always frequent for pots.

 The parents.

My cutting - it was a broken branch. The blooms smell so good.

The odd-shaped cutting finally has a popcorn.

Potted - the free cuttings, the weird one and popcorned Penang Peach. I cut the shriveled one and let it callus again.

Penang Peach - I'm trying out another technique that I learned from FB group - clingwrap.

For the Aussie Pink, I did bag rooting.

My plumeria collection - currently 18. I have about 3 cuttings and some seeds coming my way.

My Maung Pani finally bloomed! It doesn't look like Maung Pani but I still like her a lot.

The lemongrass has gone crazy so I cut them off.

Bonus - Coco went to the dog spa and got a new cut. Nope, not my style.

Glory Days

Last Saturday saw me and my sister braving the rain and went to two separate nurseries - Selangor Green Lane Sungai Buloh and Green Mart Tropicana (the latter is my regular joint). I bought more plants. Heh.
Inedible lemongrass, serai wangi. The leaves were so fragrant oh my god, it blew me away. Bought this to keep mosquitoes away. Hope it works.

Pink lotus. Finally. I sealed the potholes with epoxy putty but I'm unsure if it's working. Water still leaks a bit from somewhere. The body of the pot is also leaking - I didn't waterproof it. We even managed to snag 6 guppies for RM4 from a nursery. The petshop nearby sell one for RM1.50. What bargain.

My pale pink plumeria, which one plumeria expert thinks it's a seedling, looking very pretty in a new pot and ballet pink gravel.

My Gina Red cutting is going to say hi soon. Excited.

My Malaysian Red, my first love. It's good to know it's still going strong.

A broken branch of my Maung Pani cutting is also looking good. My Salmon Pink cutting didn't survive, it got rotten but I managed to salvage a few inches of the tips and they are being calloused. Will stick them to the soil again in a few days.

My adenium upgraded - looking so much better.
