Summer Loving at Carinthia

I had the privilege to visit Lieserbrücke this year and stayed with a friend. He has the most amazing yard I have ever seen. It even has a man-made pond that's full of trouts. You can say he's pretty self-sustaining.  He has so many varieties of vegetables and fruits. It's so nice. Too bad the hydeangeas weren't blooming yet when I was there.

Close up of the fireplace. It's scented of lavender when we light the fireplace.

Weekend Project

Spent the first day of the long weekend repotting my haul. Due to the limited space, I use tall narrow pots. Oh my poor back!
All but one successfully repotted. One isn't rooted so it's been separated out.

Ms. Coco and my sister's puppy, Bailey being curious.

Single bloom of... Jeepetch. Such a pretty little thing. Smells really good too.

My Maung Pani turned out to be a dwarf? It's so small compared to Malaysian Red, the biggest leaf measured at 2 inches.

One of the cuttings is not rooted. It has an interesting stump. Sacrificed the inflo so it may focus on rooting.

One of the cuttings from the first batch purchase. The branch is soft but the stump looks ok.

Something I learned from the seller. Just leave them like that.

Gratification

The leaves of the (supposedly) Bali Hai Gold are the biggest!

My parsley growing new shoot.

I uprooted the old one and planted a new one. I think I might have cut them too short.

Haul of the Day!

Finally found a reliable plumeria seller and I got myself 6 rooted ones!
It's difficult to confirm the varieties of the plants as he doesn't keep track of the names, but the bigger one should be Bali Hai Gold.

This could be a Sweet Peach.

I've booked a salmon pink plumeria which he will help me root. I'm a happy camper!

Dip Dip

Free Penang Peach Plumeria cuttings by Free Tree Society that they salvaged from a cut tree.

Hope they thrive.

My Maung Pani's inflo. I am patiently waiting for it.

I tried again planting edible plants, this is garlic.

Green onion. It didn't look like it's going to grow so I pulled the one behind out and lo and behold, it grew a new root.

Just planted this parsley. Was clearing the fridge and found this withered parsley.

My lemon grew more flowers. It seemed like I overwatered again. I suppose that caused the yellowing of the leaves. I also threw the moss away.

My plumeria corner!

Bought a new lotus - it's white. I also changed the pot to this.

Mom gave me this pandanus (screwpine) to grow when I went home last weekend. It's expensive to buy the leaves in the city.

I brought back some wild poppy seeds from the vacation. It's been almost 2 weeks since but... let's hope for the best.

Gorgeous wild poppies.

Got myself another fiddle-leaf leaf for the living room last week. Only repotted today in the pot I used to grow lotus.

Brought Ms Coco to KL for a holiday :D
