Longer & Warmer Days

Yay, spring is finally here! I'm so happy.
Neighbors have started to do some spring cleaning and planting flowers in their garden. While mine.... well has a bit of color now that the tulips are starting to bloom.

Finally! Pink Charms bloomed! For a while I thought I got cheated.

This patch of darker tulips are taking its time to bloom.

The buds on the branches of the hydrangea on the right side of the garden is wilting although the growth on the base isn't. Don't know whats going on with her?

Random plant that I'm looking forward to seeing bloom. I think I planted something there but I don't remember what.

Edibles.

My starters. Some not doing too well. Previous salad and green onionsseedlings died because I was neglecting them.

This baby is out enjoying the sun although I haven't seen any new growth. Well as along as it's not etiolating I guess it's fine?

New Growth

I did not expect Peperomia hovaria leaf to root so quickly, it is a pleasant surprise to see one of them is.

Ok, one sprout is growing underwater for pussy willow.

More growth on MV.

I teased another new leaf out and this time it revealed the tip/growth point. These 3 leaves are gonna be so ugly.

A bok choy head that I saved because it looks so interesting and I'm trying to make a bang for the buck.

Tulips are in season, yippie.

New European Babies

Me being me, a crazy plant lady I acquired some new ones.
Olive sapling - Olea Europa.

Never a Calathea fan but this one captivated my heart. It is Calathea Musaica 'Network' Goeppertia kegeljanii Network.  It also happened to be my first Etsy purchase and she came from France.

Moving on the outdoor plants - my mother-in-law got me this balcony planter with thyme and rosemary while I added in the Basil that I have.

Husband bought me a pot of yellow mums. I didn't care for it well the blooms were gone by the time Autumn started.

I bought some Dahlia tubers and some spring bulbs that I don't remember to plant but I had to leave the country due to visa complications so they were planted into ground late by my MIL.

A single bayleaf from my MIL.

Horseradish my MIL planted whilst I was away.

Our new apartment comes with a lanky fig tree.

Garlic chives, also from my MIL.

And of course, my life is not complete without hydrangeas. Yes... I finally get to enjoy many of the wonderful varieties! I got these two half-priced from Bauhaus as they were not pretty but it's ok! They will be pretty next year!

Autumn bulbs like tulips, Crocus and Daffodils are in the ground few weeks ago.
