Challenge with the Size of a Mammoth

We have moved into the new house and it proved to be a pretty challenging house. Since it's an old house with so many trees, the house is full of ants. The size of the house is also something that I need to get used to it. We haven't finished unpacking as we have another 2 houses/condos to deal with due to last minute development. It's really been a crazy week. That said, let's focus on what's on this house.
This is how our porch looks like. Few portulaca plants and some palm-like plants.

We have fake dill and a huge Kauka Wilder which has rust right now. This house has plenty of birdnest ferns that some of them I mounted to their natural habitat - trees.

Coco posing at the driveway. Speaking of Coco, it has also been challenging as she became blind two weeks ago. She's struggling a little right now as she does not know this house. This picture is also deceiving - she sat down because she was scared to move around.

The movers broke the pot of my Kauka Wilder so I've grounded her. She's a little wilted but I think she will do fine.

How my condo plants currently are right now. Avocado Miki died and Magnolia Lily doesn't seem to be doing too good. The new green shoot died. the 2 plumerias in the picture came from the other apartment of ours. They should be doing well here. There's so much sun here, I've already got pretty tanned.

Rangoon creeper at our backyard. We have another one in frontyard.

We have 2 pots of this cute purple flowered-plant,

One of the ferns I mounted.

I should do a better job with this!

I found an oakleaf fern at my garbage bin so I tied it up on the mango tree.

I bought another Platycerium - Elephantosis (furthest left) and have it mounted on a Daiso chopping board.

The oakleaf ferns that I collected last week, finally mounted on Daiso chopping board.

Saw this oakleaf fern at one of my neighbour's when walking Odyssey earlier this evening. And to think it was a rare fern...?

A Gung Ho Move

Seeing that trimming the roots of Magnolia did some wonder with some new shoots coming out from her, I did the same to Calla Lilies and Avocado.

Avocado has been suffering from dried leaves which I thought to be burned from sun but the thing is that only mature leaves are like that. New leaves aren't burned. It has to be something else making it this way, isn't it? I noticed some blackened roots after pulling her out from soil. I also moved her under the plumeria tree for shade to let her rehab.

After some rots, I pulled her out to clean the rot from the bulbs. Hope this will perk her up a bit seeing all the blooms are dried out. Having that said, I need to learn more about her.

The After Dark orchids after moving them indoor.

Ylang-ylang is showing off. I think she will love the new house. Also, I will be planting her into the ground and will be practising my grafting (morbid!) on her so I can leave her there and have my own Ylang-ylang when we move again.

My sole surviving lavender sharing house with an onion. I am considering to purchase more lavender as I need to combat mosquito issue. Other plants in the combat list will be basil

My tomatoes bloom kept falling off due to lack of sun. Maybe I just move her to the new house already.

Ms Ridleyi is growing pretty well except that I didn't realise I cracked her couple of fronds.

I also broke Ms Bifurcatum the younger's shield when I was transpotting her from the bathtub after shower.

What a wall. I will replicate and improve this in the new house. Am also veery tempted to change Bifurcatum sisters' frame to a lighter and slimmer one like Ms Ridleyi's for a sleeker and graceful look.

Indulgence: Prettiness

This week saw me spending too much (to my liking anyway) money on plants.

I purchased 2 dwarf calla lilies. How gorgeous are the colors!

Gasp! Staghorn fern. It won't be the one and only.

This will be hung in the master bedroom but I will have to re-tie it with fishing line so it has a cleaner look and also my drilling skill is rather lacking I need to wait for the BF to come home from Europe to do that.

This is the inspiration. I will be asking my dad to make the exact frame for my next staghorn.

Look at this.... The nursery has at least 5 walls of these.

Lowland hydrangea which I named Penelope. Heh.

It has been raining a lot and I forgot to bring it in. Gah.

Sweet potato. I've plucked the slips out from the tuber and they are growing roots in a rapid rate. I should be able to transplant them into soil next week or so.

Heirloom tomatoes. I separated them into 2 planters. Coco ate the seedlings as one of the planters was on the floor.

Avocado suffered a little sunburn.

Twins! Magnolia Coco.

Ylang-ylang blooming again.

Very expensive purchase - peonies and rose. But will you look at them. Gorgeousness.

Monotonous

The dwarf plumeria cutting didn't dry well so I re-cut again.

 Avocado got sunburned?

My magnolia Cocos. I probably should name the new one Olive Oyl since she's so leggy.

Heirloom tomato seedlings sharing planter with green onions.

This highland hydrangea is still deciding if she's gonna stay or not.

What's left of the new hydrangea - sharing with basil. SIGH.

Only 1 lavender left so I made a few cuttings for rooting.

Thai basil cuttings sharing with the hydrangea that's dying.

Stopped at local florist to get some flowers on Monday and it was a bad time as most flowers were sold during Mother's Day so there wasn't much of a selection. I picked up these sweet-looking 'mums instead.

Few plants caught my attention. No I didn't buy them.

The plumeria inflo from the cutting.
